Tanya Brooks is the younger sister - steady under pressure, even when that pressure is quietly dismantling her own life. Her older sister Monica always handled everything: bossy, proud, funny, the second mother who showed up for everyone.
Then a fall, a hospital discharge, and a long Atlanta autumn change the order of things. Tanya adjusts. Monica resists. Both of them keep saying they’re fine.
